Here's everything that happened this week at the NIL Store!
We signed Doug! Yes, that Doug!
It was with great pride that we signed Doug Edert to our Campus Ink family this week. Doug rose to stardom during the 2022 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament when he helped lead St. Peter's on a Cinderella run to the NCAA Elite Eight.
It wasn't Doug's stardom that attracted us, however, it was his story.
Doug knows what it's like to be the 98-percent of athletes who are overlooked when it comes to NIL in college athletics. He also knows better than anyone what it means to have a "moment" and have the opportunity to capitalize on NIL.
It was part of what attracted Doug to Campus Ink, as we operate with the theology that NIL can be a solution for all athletes.
Doug had a big week, as he announced both his logo and his first official merch drop.
The logo is particularly special for Doug, as it was designed for him by his Pop Pop who was a long-time graphic designer.
The logo is emblematic of Doug's past but also the start of his new chapter as he continues his basketball career at Bryant University.
Autograph Signings in Champaign!
Illinois men's basketball players have been at The Lab in Champaign all week signing merchandise for fans!
Among the players making appearances have been Coleman Hawkins, Dain Dainja and Alfonso Plummer (tonight).
The sale - 20% off all items - will continue through Saturday, May 7. The Lab is located at 502 E. John St, Unit 107.
