The NIL Store has revealed its top-selling schools and athletes for August 2025, and the leaderboard features some of the biggest names and programs in college sports.
Ohio State claimed the No. 1 spot among schools, while star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith topped all male athletes. On the women’s side, UConn basketball legend Azzi Fudd once again led the way, continuing her dominance as one of the most recognizable athletes in college athletics.
Buckeye Nation on Top
Ohio State fans turned out in full force this month, making the Buckeyes the No. 1 top-selling school on the NIL Store. The program edged out UConn, which had held the top spot for four consecutive months.
Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, a rising star in college football, also claimed the title of top-earning male athlete. He was joined in the top 10 by fellow Buckeye Bodpegn Miller, highlighting the program’s strength both on the field and in merchandise sales.
UConn Women’s Basketball: An 11-Month Streak
Even though UConn fell to second overall in school sales, UConn Women’s Basketball continued its historic run. The Huskies secured their 11th consecutive month as the top-selling individual program across the NIL Store.
Azzi Fudd led all female athletes in earnings, while teammate KK Arnold took the No. 2 spot. Together, they’ve helped UConn women’s basketball remain the standard-bearer for female NIL success.
Volleyball Continues to Rise
The volleyball community has made its presence felt in NIL. Nebraska stars Andi Jackson and Harper Murray were the highest-earning female volleyball players for the second straight month.
Ohio State’s Mia Stahler and BYU’s Abby Hoybjerg also landed in the top 10, proving that fans of volleyball are embracing NIL opportunities and directly supporting their favorite athletes.
A Standout on the Men’s Basketball Side
On the men’s side, Purdue guard Braden Smith stood out as the lone non-football player in the top 10 male earners. His strong showing highlights the growing demand for men’s basketball NIL apparel as the season approaches.
