CHICAGO - In advance of a pair of “homecomings” for two of college basketball’s biggest stars, the NIL Store powered by Campus Ink has dropped “Hometown Hero” custom NIL jerseys for both Zach Edey (Purdue) and Paige Bueckers (UConn).
The jerseys are part of a “Hometown Hero” NIL jersey series that will continue throughout the year. Athletes earn industry-leading payments on every sale.
Edey, the defending national player of the year, and the Boilermakers are set to play in Toronto, Canada on Dec. 9 against Alabama.
Edey’s jersey features a large Maple Leaf in homage to Toronto, as well as the signature pinstripes that are commonly associated with the 90’s Raptors jerseys.
The drop comes off the heels of Edey’s wildly successful hockey jersey, which was also dropped in homage to his Canadian heritage.
Just 10 days away from Bueckers’ homecoming return to Minnesota on Nov. 19, the UConn women’s basketball star has unveiled her Throwback Hopkins High School NIL Basketball Jersey via the UConn NIL Store.
Bueckers and the Huskies are set to take on Minnesota Sunday, Nov. 19, at Williams Arena. It will be her second time returning to Minneapolis for a game, having played in the area at the 2022 NCAA Final Four.
Born in Edina, Minn., Bueckers had a legendary career at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minn., where she finished as the all-time leader in points, assists and steals.
She was the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2020 and was the national player of the year.
