11 years since the last version launched, EA Sports’ LONG-AWAITED college football video game - EA Sports College Football 25 - will officially return this Summer. Now in the NIL era, EVERY college football player at all 134 FBS programs will be able to opt-in to be included in the game to receive $600 in compensation and a copy of the game.
With more than 11,000 players expected to be in the game, this is believed to be the LARGEST group NIL partnership of its kind, according to The Athletic.
EA Sports released a teaser for the video game that certainly hypes up college football fans for the game’s return, especially as it’s set against the iconic backdrop of the Rose Bowl.
The full reveal of the game will drop in May with the game launching over the Summer ahead of the new season.

This is a full circle moment for EA Sports, college athletes and the NIL industry overall as the video game brand’s college franchises were at the center of the 2014 O’Bannon v. NCAA antitrust lawsuit case focusing on uncompensated likeness of college athletes.
As college athletes can now profit off their likeness, EA is set to bring back their widely popular college football game in a big way.
In addition to inclusion in the game, some college athletes will also have the opportunity to sign larger NIL deals with EA Sports to become ambassadors for the game.
Athletes have until April 30 to opt-in to guarantee their place in the new iteration of the video game.
As fans await the full reveal in May, the biggest question is which present or past player or coach will grace the cover of EA Sports College Football 25?
