BEST OF JANUARY: Top-10 Best-Selling Schools
February 8, 2024

In a FULL sprint to start 2024, the NIL Store powered by Campus Ink had a jam-packed month of January across all sides of the business.

From opening new stores with perennial powerhouses North Carolina and Georgetown, to kicking off collective collaborations with the likes of Washington, Mississippi State, Iowa and Iowa State, to officially surpassing the $1 million mark in athlete payouts through officially licensed merchandise sales on the NIL Store network, it has been a HISTORIC January for us.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the Top 10 Best-Selling Schools in the NIL Store network from January, where every purchase is a direct contribution to the pockets of these talented student-athletes.

Top-10 Schools:

#10 Indiana NIL Store

Indiana women’s basketball star Sydney Parrish’s product push buoyed Indiana to yet another top-10 finish, as her Hoosiers continued to perform as one of the top programs in the country.

#9 Marquette NIL Store

The No. 9-ranked Marquette men’s basketball squad led the way for the Marquette NIL Store in January. It’s men’s basketball program was the fifth-best selling sport by school across the NIL Store network.

Golden Eagle fans gearing up for a NCAA Tournament run have a ton of different options to choose from - with locker rooms of each basketball player - and featuring jerseys, apparel, trading cards and more.

#8 Nebraska NIL Store

Talk about great timing - following an upset win against then-No.1 Purdue, the Nebraska NIL Store launched a new "TominagaMania" collection for men's basketball star, Keisei Tominaga, featuring a Nebraska jersey with his last name in Japanese lettering and matching apparel.

The Tominaga Lightning Tee ultimately became the number eight ranked men’s product of the month.

#7 Ohio State NIL Store

The No.8-ranked Ohio State women’s basketball squad started 2024 on a tear - that included an upset win against Caitlin Clark and Iowa - and star Jacy Sheldon finished the month as the NIL Store’s seventh-best selling women’s athlete.

Buckeye fans were able to show their support by rocking Sheldon’s jersey or exclusive apparel, including hoodies, crew neck sweatshirts and t-shirts via the Ohio State NIL Store.

#6 Iowa NIL Store

Iowa’s No. 2-ranked women’s basketball team made headlines the entire month of January and Hawkeye duo Hannah Stuelke and Gabbie Marshall led the way for the Iowa NIL Store as two of the top ten-selling women’s athletes across the entire NIL Store network.

As Iowa fans prepare for hopefully another Final Four run, they can stock up now on name and number jerseys, apparel and even hockey jerseys to support Hawkeyes women’s basketball athletes.

#5 Illinois NIL Store

No. 14-ranked Fighting Illini men’s basketball trio Coleman Hawkins, Terrence Shannon Jr. and Marcus Domask combined to lead the Illinois NIL Store to a top-5 finish across the NIL Store network in January.

Not only was the Fighting Illini trio featured in the top-10 of male athletes for us, but the team’s orange jersey was the number four most popular item sold across the entire network.

Combine this major momentum with the new collaboration between NIL Store and ICON - the preferred collective of Illinois Athletics - and Fighting Illini fans are set up for even more incredible merch opportunities as we inch closer to March Madness.

#4 Georgetown NIL Store

The Georgetown NIL Store - in collaboration with Hoyas Rising - launched this month so it’s no surprise to see Hoya fans support in such a big way.

Featuring more than 200 Georgetown athletes, the store provides officially licensed NIL merchandise opportunities for every Hoya student-athlete, so expect them to stay in future top-10 store lists to come.

Georgetown men’s basketball stars Wayne Bristol Jr. and Jayden Epps quickly emerged as top-sellers on the store.

#3 UNC NIL Store

The newest addition to the NIL Store network roster this month, UNC NIL Store - via the INFLCR Exchange - features licensed merchandise for North Carolina student-athletes across all 28 Tar Heel teams.

Tar Heel duo Lexi Godwin (Softball) and RJ Davis (Basketball) both burst onto the scene this month as top-10 athletes, with more momentum for Tar Heel athletes surely to come as we approach March Madness.

#2 UConn NIL Store

A consistent force on NIL Store top-10 lists, the UConn NIL Store again crushed it in January, led by perennial powers men’s (No. 1 ranked) and women’s (No. 11 ranked) basketball teams.

Superstar Paige Bueckers was the top-selling women’s athlete and her pink jersey - coinciding with the Huskies’ annual “Play4Kay” Pink game on February 4 - was a Top-10 product sold in January.

With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner, expect the UConn NIL Store to continue their massive success.

#1 Purdue NIL Store

The Purdue NIL Store dominated the month - led by No. 2-ranked Boilermakers men’s basketball star duo Zach Edey and Lance Jones - who were the top two selling male athletes across the NIL Store network.

Collectively, they owned five of the top-10 men’s products, highlighted by the reigning Player of the Year Edey’s black jersey, which took the number one spot.

Jones’ “Lance Dance” exclusive release was one of the best-selling exclusive releases of all time.

As the Boilermakers prepare for a deep March Madness run, expect the Purdue NIL Store to continue their winning ways.
