NIL Store’s Top-5 Limited Drops: June Edition
July 18, 2023

As the 2022-23 calendar season officially came to a close with NCAA Softball and Baseball Championships wrapping up, the NIL Store continued to roll with custom drops.

Here’s a breakdown of our top-5 best-selling limited drops from the month of June, featuring athletes from four schools and three different sports!
(A hint for all athletes: each one of these eligible athletes collaborated with their merch drop to boost their sales!)

#1 - Zach Edey - Purdue NIL Store

The King of the NIL Store and unanimous National Player of the Year, Zach Edey, roared into the month of June with his “Zach is Back” merch drop.
The drop coincided with his much anticipated announcement of his return to Purdue for the 2023-24 school year. He actually announced his return on May 31, which led to him vaulting into the May Top-5 on one day of sales before carrying over into the month of June.
Purdue fans responded accordingly, showering the big man with support by snatching up his merch.
As it turns out, Zach’s hockey jersey was the top-selling overall product of the month across all stores.
Special shoutout to Purdue’s athletic department, which collaborated on the “Zach is Back” post on Instagram and helped the merch reach more than 86,000 accounts on Instagram.

#2 - Josie Muffley - NIL Store, FSU

A favorite of Florida State softball fans for four seasons, Josie Muffley’s “Air Muffley” design was inspired by her insane flying catch against Washington in the College World Series.
The catch sparked a game-ending double play that pushed the Seminoles to 2-0 in the CWS en route to a Championship Series appearance against Oklahoma.
Said teammate Kathryn Sandercock after the game: "Josie is so athletic. Athleticism for her to get up that high. To have the wherewithal to throw it to second base and get the double play, she's just an incredible athlete, a great teammate and definitely has a great softball IQ. I have so much trust in her playing."
The amazing catch was soon turned into merch that flew off the shelves!

#3 - Dequan Finn - Toledo NIL Store

The first merch drop of the Toledo NIL Store era belonged to Dequan Finn, and he delivered with a massive debut drop!
The All-MAC quarterback launched into the merch NIL space and Toledo fans responded.
Be ready for more Finn drops in the future!

#4 - Amaya Ross - NIL Store, FSU

Amaya Ross’ first-ever merch drop caught fire, as the Florida State Softball player’s merch sales took off in conjunction with the Noles’ run in the NCAA Softball Tournament.
Ross’ success is a testament to the power of a following. While she wasn’t a starter on the star-studded Seminoles, it’s clear her merchandise still had great success.

#5 - Coleman Hawkins - Illinois NIL Store

An NIL Store OG, Coleman Hawkins has been creating unique merch drops since the beginning.
This one might have been his craziest.
Coleman worked closely with our merch designer, Sean Childers, on bringing his “moon man” merch vision to life. Sean worked through some AI magic to make it happen.
The Illinois NIL Store paired the drop with Coleman announcing his return to Illinois for the 2023-24 season.
