At Big 12 Media Day last month, the Bears’ leading man was asked about his recent recruiting success and he connected the dots to NIL and the support his program gets from Baylor collectives. 

“We’re paying players,” Aranda said, which made waves across the college football landscape. Although this is the norm in 2024, no coach has been so blunt about the current state of NIL on and off the field.
